2025 Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship Now Accepting Applications

Opportunity for eligible graduate students to spend one year in Washington D.C. as a Knauss Marine Policy Fellow to work on important marine policy and management issues.

The National Sea Grant John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship is now accepting applications for the 2025 Fellowship program. Knauss Fellows will spend a year in Washington, D.C., in the federal Legislative or Executive branch working on policy and management issues that affect ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources and the people that depend on them.

Eligibility

Any graduate students, regardless of citizenship, in the natural and social sciences as well as law or related fields who are enrolled through an accredited institution towards a degree at any point between the onset of the 2023 Fall Term and February 15, 2024, and have a demonstrated interest in ocean and coastal issues are invited to apply for this paid fellowship.

Prospective Fellow

Rhode Island applications are due to the Rhode Island Sea Grant (RISG) office by February 15, 2024 by 5:00 PM EST. 

All applications must be submitted through the eSeaGrant web platform. RISG will be hosting three virtual information sessions to provide information on fellowship details, accessing eSeaGrant and developing a fellowship application.
