Ocean Samp

Since its approval by the Coastal Resources Management Council in October 2010, the Ocean SAMP has entered the implementation phase. During this phase, the federal adoption process has been completed, the Ocean SAMP findings have fed into the federal leasing process, and new and ongoing research has been conducted on the resources of the waters off Rhode Island’s coast. The activities pursued during the implementation phase ensure that the Ocean SAMP endures as a living document, which evolves and is updated as more information is available.
