Law & Policy
The
Rhode Island Sea Grant Legal Program is located at the Marine
Affairs Institute at Roger Williams University School of Law. It provides analysis and research of marine
law issues to further innovative legal and policy approaches
to coastal and fisheries management.
Legal Program projects include:
- Providing legal research and analysis of marine related
issues for state and regional entities
- Supporting Sea Grant Law Fellows
- Co-sponsoring marine
law symposia and seminars
- Conducting research to analyze hurdles or problems in
marine law and recommend changes to the law or its interpretation
- Working with students and graduates of law/marine affairs
joint degree program
