Tentative
schedule for April and May. I plan to be on the water by mid April and
will be sampling in the Pawcatuck and LNBay by the first of May. We'll
be on the water every Thursday after April 11 weather permiting. I've
made contact with Jim Kremer at UConn and we may be doing some coordinate
work where my students may supplement the data he's collecting on macroalgae
in Little Narragansett Bay.

The dates I have
for completion of permanent openings in quonnie and winnapaug are: 10/31/61
(quonnie) and 5/19/54 (winnapaug). Also, the ninigret breachway was
originally jettied and riprapped in 1904, with more extensive dredging
and riprap completed in 1952. These dates were discovered through newspaper
clippings in the Westerly public library. This might be helpful to update
the information in your Sea Grant Salt Ponds website.
