Greenwich Bay Special Area Mgmt. Plan

The Greenwich Bay SAMP began with an effort to involve citizens, businesses, and government in the decision-making process. Informational meetings were held to identify issues of concern and begin to coordinate a response. A Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) was formed to provide input to the technical committee and to undertake implementation. The technical committee began drafting chapters with CAC input that addressed water quality, recreation, hazard mitigation, economics, habitat, and cultural resources and public access. The plan was formally reviewed and adopted into state and local management plans, and implementation, an ongoing process, began.
